TEXAS– Despite the old adage that one is not supposed to do so, the ebola virus has messed with Texas. On October 8, a Liberian man died in a Dallas hospital after contracting the disease, and it was learned earlier this week that the man infected at least two of his nurses. “The fact that you’re not supposed to mess with Texas seems to make this virus even more determined,” said Kieron Slattery, an immunologist from the Center for Disease Control (CDC). “It’s as if ebola sees it as a challenge. My advice to Texas is to not mess with ebola.” Department of Health and Human Services director Sylvia Burwell agrees with Slattery, saying, “We’re expecting ebola to strike New Hampshire next since their state motto is the defiant Live Free Or Die.”
This is not the first time that Texas has been messed with. In 2007, a man rang Texas’s doorbell and ran away, and in 2010, someone called Texas’s phone number and hung up.
